1st Annual ORCCA And Partners Block Party
Bring the family for a day of fun on Saturday June 22nd as Oregon Coast Community Action and Partners present the very first Annual Block Party with fun, food, music and games for everybody, plus a showcase of all of their programs and community partners that work to better and enrich the lives of those in the community.
The Block Party starts at 10am until 2pm at ORCCA’s new campus. Entrance to the festivities will be at the South Coast Food Share, at 225 LaClair Avenue, across from the Frontier offices. The event will be completely free to the public, though donations of food and clothing will be accepted. Parking is available in the upper lot at 1855 Thomas Avenue or at Frontier’s offices, at 276 LaClair Avenue, across from the South Coast Food Share.
In addition to the block party activities, attendees will get an opportunity to learn about the services offered at the community agency showcase. They will feature community partners who will offer information about their services, including DHS, Umpqua Coastal Housing, Coos Bay Fire Department, Nancy Devereux Center, Child Abuse Intervention Center, Women’s Safety and Resource Center, as well as their programs which include Head Start, CASA, Great Afternoons, South Coast Food Share, and housing, energy and weatherization assistance. The event will also be the official ribbon cutting ceremony for ORCCA’s Child and Family Resource Center and South Coast Food Share, taking place at 11am. Those interested will have an opportunity to walk through the buildings immediately following the ribbon cutting.
