ODOT To Close One Mile Section of Highway 42 This Weekend

Oregon Department of Transportation crews and contractors will make repairs to Highway 42 near the Coos/Douglas County line this weekend. The highway was damaged by slides during last month’s storms and has been narrowed to a single lane since January 19th.  A one-mile stretch of the highway, approximately ten miles west of Camas Valley,  will be closed from 5am on February 18th to 1am on February 20th.  More than 10,000 cubic yards of debris and dirt will be removed from the site. Highway 42 is one of many state highways damaged in the storms.
