Oregon Department Of Revenue Unveils New Filing System

The Oregon Department of Revenue reminds taxpayers that the deadline to file wage and income forms W-2 and 10-99 is March 31st. Businesses that issue 250 or more of certain Forms 1099 must also submit them directly to the DOR. The department is providing a new filing system for small businesses to manually enter W-2 information so they can meet the requirement. It’s called i-Wire Direct, it’s free, and doesn’t require new software. It will be available the first part of March. Businesses that use i-Wire Direct, may file by May 31st without penalty. The due date remains unchanged for other businesses.
