Patrick Royal Sentenced 70 Months for Assault

A former high school principal was sentenced to more than 5 years in prison for beating his wife. Patrick Forest Royal was convicted of second degree assault on Tuesday, A measure 11 crime. His 70 month sentence began immediately. Royal also received 36 months of post prison supervision and was ordered to have no contact with his wife Angela. Royal maintains he did not cause the injuries to his wife that led to her hospitalization.
