Heavy Rain Continues To Push Coquille River To Flood Stage
The National Weather Service and the Coos County Sheriff’s office have confirmed that the main stem of the river at Coquille is below flood stage, but will begin to rise again. Heavy rains are expected today, and this will push the river above flood stage again early tonight. River Levels will rise tonight into tomorrow, with peak levels reaching around 24.9 feet this afternoon. This will produce near major flooding. River levels are expected to fall below flood stage on Saturday Morning.
