Ambill Now Lodged In Coos County Jail-Charged With Murder
A man who was being sought by police as a possible material witness in a homicide in North Bend has been returned to Coos County. According to District Attorney Paul Frazier, after a review of the evidence gathered in this investigation, 47-year-old Ronald Wayne Ambill was formally arrested last night for the murder of 61-year-old David Marion Barker. Frazier’s office confirms that Ambill is now lodged at the Coos County jail on the charge of Murder. Barker’s body was discovered on July 17th in a room at the Itty Bitty Inn located on Highway 101 in North Bend. A search for Ambill resumed shortly after and the Coos County Circuit Court issued a material witness warrant for his arrest. Ambill had turned himself in to Lincoln County Authorities and was returned to Coos County last night. The investigation is continuing.
