Food Workshop At OSU In Myrtle Point

The topic of the next Master Food Preservers workshop will be dehydrated foods this Saturday, October 6th at 10am at the OSU Extension Service.
Participants will learn how to dehydrate fruits and vegetables and creative ways to use the finished products. They will hear “10 Reasons to Dehydrate,” “Meals in a Jar,” “Trash Talk – Making Use of Your Fruit and Vegetable Scraps,” and more. Participants will also learn about creating their own Bug-Out-Bag to prepare for an emergency.
The workshop will be held at the OSU Extension Service, 631 Alder Street in Myrtle Point. Preregistration is recommended by calling the Extension office at 541-572-5263, ext. 292.
Following this workshop, two more will be held this fall: Using Your Bean: Cooking and Using Legumes on October 20th, 10 to 1; and Gifts from the Kitchen, November 3rd, 10 to 2. All the workshops will be held at OSU Extension Service, 631 Alder Street in Myrtle Point.
