Furman Retires From ODCC
The Oregon Dungeness Crab Commission has announced the retirement
of Nick Furman. The long time Executive Director of the ODCC stepped down from the industry-funded organization after 22 years at the helm.
The ODCC Chairman John Corbin says, “Nick’s leadership and commitment to Oregon’s crab industry will be missed. Many of the positive developments in the fishery, as well as the marketplace, occurred
during his tenure.”
Staff member Hugh Link has been appointed to the position of Interim Administrator while the search for Furman’s replacement continues. More information about the job posting can be found at the Commission’s web site www.oregondungeness.org.
