OSP Asking for Help in Locating Driver in Hit and Run

Oregon State Police is asking for the public’s help to locate a vehicle and driver involved in a Friday morning hit-and-run collision on Highway 42 west of Tenmile that damaged over 50 feet of fencing and a fiber optic cable box.

According to Senior Trooper Robert Gorman, on October 12, 2012 at approximately 7:15 a.m. an unknown vehicle, possibly a pickup pulling a trailer, was eastbound on Highway 42 near Benedict Road when it traveled off the eastbound shoulder of the highway. The vehicle struck a highway marker, drove across both lanes of travel to the westbound shoulder where it struck a Century Link fiber optic cable box and damaged over 50 feet of fencing belonging to an area resident.

The left mirror broke off the vehicle.
