A tsunami advisory is still in effect for coastal waters from Florence to northern California. This is an advisory only NOT a WARNING.

A tsunami advisory means that a surge capable of producing strong currents or waves dangerous to people in or very near water is possible. In plain language – STAY OFF THE BEACHES, STAY OUT OF COASTAL WATERS, and there is a chance of hazards or damage in the harbors and marina’s.

No widespread inundation is expected. THERE IS NO EVACUATION NECESSARY AT THIS TIME.

Documented water level changes in the last hour in our region have been less than 6”.
