Flood Warning / Flood Watch For Coquille River

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEDFORD HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING
FOR THE COQUILLE RIVER AT COQUILLE AND FOR THE SOUTH FORK COQUILLE RIVER AT MYRTLE POINT. CONTINUING HEAVY RAINFALL IN THE COQUILLE BASIN WILL CAUSE THE RIVER TO CONTINUE TO RISE PEAKING LATE THIS MORNING.

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR THE NORTH FORK COQUILLE RIVER NEAR MYRTLE POINT. FLOODING IS EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY ON THE COQUILLE AT COQUILLE. A VERY SLOW MOVING SYSTEM WILL BRING AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN INTO AREAS OF SOUTHWESTERN OREGON THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. WIDESPREAD RAINFALL TOTALS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES ARE EXPECTED WITH THIS STORM. HEAVY RAIN WILL BRING THE POTENTIAL FOR SMALL STREAM FLOODING THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.
