THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEDFORD HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING FOR THE COQUILLE RIVER AT COQUILLE FROM THIS AFTERNOON TO NEXT FRIDAY. MODERATE FLOODING IS FORECAST. THE RIVER IS EXPECTED TO REACH MINOR FLOOD STAGE OF 21 FEET EARLY THIS AFTERNOON…AND IS EXPECTED TO RISE TO 23 FEET SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

THE HIGH WIND WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING…..A STORM WILL LIKELY BRING HIGH WINDS TO THE SOUTHERN OREGON COAST TOMORROW NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING….SOUTH WINDS ARE FORECAST TO BUILD TO 35 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS TO
65 MPH

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR THE SOUTH FORK COQUILLE RIVER AT MYRTLE POINT UNTIL LATE SUNDAY NIGHT…..AT 1 AM FRIDAY MORNING, THE STAGE WAS 22.5 FEET…..MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE. FLOOD STAGE IS 33 FEET ..FLOOD STAGE MAY BE REACHED SUNDAY.
