THERE IS FLOOD POTENTIAL ON RIVERS AND STREAMS IN COOS AND DOUGLAS COUNTIES TOMORROW AND THROUGH THE WEEKEND….AFTER A WEAK WEATHER SYSTEM MOVES THROUGH TODAY, MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN WILL MOVE IN TOMORROW THROUGH FRIDAY. MORE RAIN IS POSSIBLE WITH 3 TO 6 INCHES POSSIBLE OVER THE WEEKEND. BY EARLY SUNDAY, RISES ARE EXPECTED ON SMALL RIVERS AND STREAMS.

A FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR THE COQUILLE RIVER AT COQUILLE AND THE SOUTH FORK COQUILLE RIVER AT MYRTLE POINT AFTER MINOR RAINFALL THROUGH TODAY, HEAVY RAIN WILL MOVE INTO THE SOUTH COAST TOMORROW THROUGH FRIDAY. THE MAJORITY OF THE RAIN WILL AFFECT CURRY COUNTY AND SOUTHERN COOS COUNTY.

A HIGH SURF WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 10 AM TOMORROW…WAVES WILL BUILD TONIGHT WITH BREAKERS PEAKING AT 20 TO 28 FEET EARLY TOMORROW MORNING. THE HIGHEST SURF IS EXPECTED ALONG SOUTH FACING PORTS AND BEACHES, RESULTING IN DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS.

A HIGH WIND WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
TOMORROW AFTERNOON. SOUTH WINDS 40 TO 50 MPH, WITH GUSTS OF 60 TO 70 POSSIBLE. GUSTS OF 80 TO 90 MPH ARE POSSIBLE AT THE HEADLANDS. STRONG WINDS WILL ARRIVE LATER TONIGHT AND CONTINUE INTO TOMORROW.
