North Bend Volunteer Fire Assoc. To Benefit From Sip N Stroll

K-DOCK 92.9

The North Bend Downtown Association invites everyone to the Sip N Stroll. During the start of the Holiday Season, treat yourself to a leisurely evening of samplings and engaging conversation during North Bend’s Sip ‘n Stroll. Enjoy tastings from a variety of wine and beer, amidst the setting of the fine stores, restaurants and galleries that North Bend has to offer.

The Sip ‘n Stroll starts at 5pm at Engles Furniture. At check-in, guests pay a $10 fee and will receive a souvenir wine/beer glass, and a program which lists each pouring location. Guests will then be able to stroll from location to location sampling beer and wine, while enjoying downtown North Bend.

Proceeds from this event will be going to the North Bend Volunteer Fire Association, made up of 36 volunteer firefighters and 12 paid staff, which are trained and certified to respond to all types of calls. The volunteers give up many hours of their time to help protect and serve our local community and families. The North Bend Volunteers help to put on annual events to help raise monies to help support our local community, including:

—–The Annual Pancake Breakfast that serves over 800 citizens which is held every year.

—–Back Pack for Kids is another program the department promotes giving 50 students backpacks and all the school-required items they need for the school year.

—–Annual Christmas Tree Pick-up This project contributes to a variety of causes in our community. In addition to removing the potential fire hazards of the trees in our homes, some of the trees are used by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to enhance fish habitat in our local streams.
