Suspect Being Sought By Coos Bay Police For Firing Weapon

Last night, a Coos Bay woman arrived at the Coos Bay Police Station, reporting that she had been involved in an altercation at a residence on Jackson Avenue in Coos Bay. During that altercation, a shot was reportedly fired by 59-year-old Leslie Alan Amsbary of Coos Bay. The victim showed police where the incident occurred, in a small travel trailer on the property. Police contacted a second victim at the location who confirmed that Amsbary had fired one shot. Amsbary had fled the scene prior the arrival of the police and has not been located. He is being charged with Felon In Possession of a Firearm, Reckless Endangering and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Described as a white male with a beard and goatee.
