BLM Reminds Mining Claimants Of Dec. 31st Deadline

K-DOCK 92.9

The Bureau of Land Management reminds certain mining claimants that the deadline to file a “Notice of Intent” to hold their claims is December 31st. Miners who paid maintenance fees for the assessment year ending on September 1st, who then elected to file a Maintenance Fee Waiver Certification for the 2013 assessment year, must now file a N-O-I for their mining claims or sites. The BLM will accept any filings delivered in person or postmarked on or before Monday, December 31st. Claimants who fail to file the NOI on time will forfeit the mining claims or sites. Any questions can be directed to the Information Access Center. A directory of BLM offices can be found at www.blm.gov/wo/st/en/info/directory.
