Boating + Piloting Classes Offered By CBPS In Charleston

The Coos Bay Power Squadron will be offering a Piloting course that will be meeting once a week for six to eight weeks. Starting January 23rd, the course will meet at the Power Squadron building, 90346 Guana Rock Lane, Charleston Boat Basin. This course is designed to cover inland and coastal navigation while utilizing paper charts and global satellite positioning equipment. The course will also teach attendees how to use those tools in navigation. Register at the first session, or by calling 541-888-6178.

The Squadron will also be offering an America’s Boating Course that starts January 7th. That class will be offered Monday and Thursday evenings at 6;30 at the same location. If you interested, you may also either register at the first class, or call 541-888-6178 for information. Cost includes a six month free trial membership in USPS and CBPS.
