Family Snack Pack Program Benefits From Rock Concert

K-DOCK 92.9

Rock out while supporting the youth arts at the GUILD’s holiday concert at Pony Village Mall.

The event will take place on Thursday, December 13th, near Harry Ritchie’s Jewelers in Pony Village, in North Bend. The GUILD Band will take the stage at 4pm, and Bach 2 Basics, a local piano group, will perform at 6pm. All acts feature music provided by local youth members of the GUILD.

The event is free, though food and cash donations will be accepted during the event. All donations will go towards supporting the Family Snack Pack Program, providing an emergency source of nutrition for youth and their families. Family Snack Packs have enough food to feed an individual for three meals and has items that are shelf-stable and ready to eat. Family Snack Packs are currently available at the Maslow Project in Coos Bay.

The GUILD is a youth community service program. They meet every Thursday afternoon at the South Coast Food Share Warehouse. For more information on the program, call 541-404-0797.
