Flood Warning Continues / High Wind Warning Issued

ANOTHER WEATHER SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO AFFECT THE REGION BEGINNING LATE TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY. THERE WILL BE PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN CAUSING RIVER AND STREAM RISES. THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECASTS 3 TO 6 INCHES IN CURRY COUNTY,AND 1 TO 2 INCHES IN COOS COUNTY.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND WARNING THAT REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 4 PM TUESDAY…..SOUTH WINDS 40 TO 50 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH AT THE COAST. WINDS OF 60 TO 70 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 90 MPH ARE POSSIBLE OVER THE CAPES AND HEADLANDS. STRONG WINDS WILL DEVELOP LATE TONIGHT AND CONTINUE INTO TOMORROW AFTERNOON.

THE FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR THE COQUILLE RIVER AT COQUILLE. AT 3:30AM THE STAGE WAS 23 POINT 6 FEET….FLOOD STAGE IS 21 FEET. MODERATE FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MODERATE FLOODING IS FORECAST. THE FLOOD WARNING ALSO CONTINUES FOR THE ROGUE RIVER NEAR AGNESS.
