THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE REPORTS THAT A STRONG SYSTEM IS MOVING INTO THE COAST THIS MORNING, THEN MOVE INLAND TONIGHT AND THURSDAY. THIS IS EXPECTED TO BRING AREAS OF MODERATE TO STRONG WINDS……A HIGH WIND WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM 10AM THIS MORNING TO 4AM THURSDAY. SOUTH WINDS OF 35 TO 50 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 TO 70 MPH ARE EXPECTED…..STRONG SOUTH WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP BY LATE THIS MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO PEAK DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE FROM THE COAST TO COMMUNITIES ALONG THE HIGHWAY 101 CORRIDOR.

STORM FORCE SOUTH WINDS EXPECTED TO GENERATE HIGH SURF AT SOUTH FACING BEACHES AND PORTS LATE THIS MORNING THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING….VERY STRONG SOUTH WINDS WILL GENERATE VERY STEEP SOUTH WAVES WHICH WILL BUILD THIS MORNING…PEAK TONIGHT AND PERSIST THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. LARGE BREAKING WAVES AND HAZARDOUS
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED IN THE SURF ZONE…ESPECIALLY AT SOUTH
FACING BEACHES AND PORTS…..THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A HIGH SURF WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10AM THIS MORNING TO
4AM THURSDAY……WIND WAVES WILL BUILD THIS MORNING AND AFTERNOON WITH BREAKERS IN THE SURF ZONE PEAKING AT 22 TO 27 FEET WEDNESDAY NIGHT. THE HIGHEST SURF WILL BE AT SOUTH FACING BEACHES AND PORTS RESULTING IN VERY HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS AND RIP CURRENTS.
