National Weather ServiceNWS WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY: A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to 4 PM PST Tuesday. A Winter Storm Watch above 1500 feet remains in effect from 4 PM PST this afternoon through Tuesday afternoon.

* Snow accumulations…1 to 3 inches above 500 feet. 3 to 6 inches possible above 1500 feet.

* Timing…rain will mix with snow Monday afternoon and then change to sn

ow Monday evening as snow levels drop sharply. Periods of snow will be possible through Tuesday afternoon.

* Affected areas include: Powers…drain…Elkton…Roseburg…Sutherlin…green…Myrtle Creek…Canyonville…Glendale…Steamboat…Toketee Falls…Grants Pass…Cave Junction…Medford…Ashland.

* Impacts…hazardous driving conditions due to snow covered and icy roads will be possible over all area roadways including those in the valleys. Heavier accumulations may make hills and passes especially hazardous…including interstate 5 over Sexton Summit and Stage Road Pass…Highway 199 at Hayes Hill…and Highway 42 near Camas Mountain.
