Zonta Co-Hosts Candlelight Vigil To Raise Gender Violence Awareness

According to the United Nations, up to 70% of women around the world will experience some form of gender-based violence in their lives. The Zonta Club of the Coos Bay area and the Women’s Safety and Resource Center have teamed up to co-host a candlelight vigil tonight, to raise awareness of this issue.

There will be guest speakers, singing and music, plus your chance to learn more about this critical issue facing women world-wide. It will take place late this afternoon on the the Coos Bay boardwalk starting at 5:30. Join them for this special event and help Zonta International, the Zonta Club of the Coos Bay area and the Women’s Safety and Resource Center raise awareness of gender violence around the world.
