Bandon Special Election–Ballots Being Mailed

A special election in the city of Bandon will be held on March 12th. Ballots will be mailed to all registered voters in Bandon on February 22nd. Voters should receive their ballots between February 25th and February 28th. Military, overseas and out of state ballots are mailed earlier. Any voter within the city limits of Bandon that has not received their ballot in the mail by Friday, March 1st should contact the Coos County Election’s office. The last day for new registrations in Oregon before this election is February 19th.

Please note that the ballots are not forwarded by the post office, so if a voter has moved or changed a mailing address, they must complete a new registration form to update their address. This may be done online at www.oregonvotes.gov.

The cost of postage to return a Coos County ballot is 46 cents, or voters may choose to drop their ballot off at a drop site at City Hall in Bandon or the Courthouse in Coquille. The list of drop sites for this election will be listed on the website at www.co.coos.or.us and will also be printed directly on the ballot.An elector may verify that their ballot has been received by the election office through the Oregon Secretary of State’s website at www.oregonvotes.gov “My Vote.” Electors may also register or update their registration through this site.

A public certification and demonstration of ballot programming and tabulation will be held on Tuesday, March 5th, at 4pm in the election office at the Courthouse in Coquille.
