The Gallery Players from Port Orford will be playing lively jigs and reels for the Greenacres Grange Barn Dance on Saturday, January 19th. Karen Olsen, a local caller, will be teaching and calling the dances for a night of energetic fun. The dances are easy to learn and the atmosphere is friendly and informal.

January features a special discount price for first time dancers who arrive by 7pm for the dance instruction. First timers also receive a free ticket for their next dance.

The monthly dance series is sponsored by the non-profit South Coast Folk Society. The dance program includes contras, circle mixers, a waltz or two, and squares. All dances are taught and called; no prior knowledge and no partner are needed. Refreshments are available. Doors open at 6:45pm. Admission: General $7, Students with ID and Over 60 $6, Members and First Timers (by 7pm) $5, Supervised children under 6 free. The dances are alcohol and fragrance free.
