Helping Feed Hungry Families With “Dutch” Love

K-DOCK 92.9

This Valentine’s Day, bring in three cans of food to any local Dutch Bros. location and receive any size drink for only $2! Dutch Bros. locations will be collecting food all day on Thursday, February 14th to help fight hunger on the South Coast.

All 3 locations in the Bay area will be participating in the nation-wide Dutch ‘Luv’ Day. The stores are at 149 South 7th Street and 843 South 1st Street in Coos Bay, and 940 Virginia Street in North Bend. The deal will be good all day on the 14th. Last year, local Dutch Bros. locations in Coos Bay and North Bend collected over 3000 pounds of food that were distributed to the South Coast Food Share’s network of 30 agencies from the Bay Area to Brookings. All food donated to the South Coast Food Share is distributed at no cost.

All 195 Dutch Bros. locations will be taking part in the Dutch ‘Luv’ food drive, collecting cans to provide food assistance to communities in Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Colorado, California, and Arizona. The drive is just one of the ways Dutch Bros. gives back to the community. The company coordinates fundraisers benefitting national and local nonprofits. Local locations have supported the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Boys and Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon, and the Egyptian Theatre Preservation Association.

South Coast Food Share is a program of Oregon Coast Community Action, helping to feed, house, warm, and educate the communities of the South Coast. For information, call 541-435-7080 or visit www.orcca.us.
