Tsunami Ready
The Cities of North Bend and Coos Bay have earned recognition from the National Weather Service for becoming Tsunami and Storm Ready. Both cities fulfilled rigorous guidelines established by the Tsunami Ready/Storm Ready Advisory Board for disaster preparedness and severe weather educational activities. A ceremony to present North Bend and Coos Bay leaders with signs recognizing them as Tsunami & Storm Ready will be held Friday March 22nd, at 11:00 AM in North Bend at the City Council Chambers and in Coos Bay at 2:00 PM at the Coos Bay Fire Station on Elrod.
