Great Afternoons Start July 8th

K-DOCK 92.9

Registration is now open for Great Afternoons’ Oregon Adventure Camps for kids eager to go on an adventure to explore the world of Oregon’s history, nature, science, and art! Oregon Adventure Camps are 4 one-week camps based at Reedsport’s Highland Elementary, designed to take kids on a journey of discoveries right in their own community.

Camps start July 8th, and will run Monday thru Friday from 10am – 2pm until August 2nd. Cost for a week’s attendance is $50 per camp, though a sliding scale rate is available based on income. The program is included as a part of a standard Great Afternoons day, if your child is in our full time childcare program. Registration forms can be found at Great Afternoons classroom and at the Family Resource Center’s Great Beginnings Classroom. The camps are available to any students who are entering grades 1 through 6. Students do not have to belong to Reedsport School District to attend, though all camps do take place at Highland Elementary and Barrone Park in Reedsport.

This year, camp sessions will feature:
Ÿ Digging for Dinosaurs
Ÿ Oregon Native American Culture
Ÿ Following the Oregon Trail
Ÿ You are in the Movies- Video Class
