Lakeside man arrested for Attempted Murder

According to a press release from the North Bend Police Department a Lakeside man was arrested with the help of the Eugene Police Department. 42 year-old David R. Wonnacott of Lakeside was arrested at the Eugene Airport after an alleged attempted shooting at 2393 Broadway in North Bend yesterday morning at 9:45am. Police have charged Wonnacott with Attempted Murder, Assault 2, Menacing, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Conspiracy and Probation Violation. According to records, Wonnacott is the owner of Bay Area Ink, a tattoo shop located at 761 Virginia Ave. in North Bend. Wonnacott is being held at the Coos County Jail after being transported from Eugene. Bail is set at $250,00. Anyone with information about the attempted shooting is asked to contact Det.
