Police Still Searching For Missing Zachary Porter

The Coos County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for 23-year-old Zachary Bashir Porter of McMinville. Family members reported Zachary’s disappearance on July 25th when he failed to return home after a trip to the Coos County area. Coos County police are actively assisting the McMinnville police in this investigation since the 25th.

Initially, information had placed Porter at the intersection of Highway 101 and North Bay Road, in the Hauser area on Tuesday night, July 23rd. He had been dropped off there to wait for a ride from a friend, reportedly to be taken back to McMinnville. Police have now been able place Porter’s whereabouts to somewhere between the 101 / 42 junction and the intersection with North Bank Lane on Highway 42, about 5 miles north of Coquille. Information places Porter possibly traveling in a vehicle in this area as recently as Wednesday afternoon, July 24th, Porter is described as a 25-year-old white male, black hair, brown eyes, last seen wearing a dark T-shirt and blue jeans. The Coos County Sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about Zachary Bashir Porter’s whereabouts to call 541-396-2106.
