Thunderwater 3000 is a fitness challenge food drive being hosted by the crew of Coast Guard Station Coos Bay. For every canned food item that is donated between today and November 20th, a “Coastie” will run, bike, or swim one mile. All donations will support South Coast Food Share.

Donation sites include the Charleston Fire Station, Coast Guard Exchange, Englund Marine – Charleston, First Community Credit Union – Lakeside and North Bend, Pony Village Cinema, Safeway – North Bend, Station Coos Bay, Tower Ford, and Y Marina.

South Coast Food Share is a program of Oregon Coast Community Action, a non-profit network of programs that help feed, house, warm and educate the communities of the South Coast, and help families thrive.
