South Coast Folk Society Starts 11th Season Sept 14th

A special introductory Barn Dance will be held on Saturday, September 14th,at the Greenacres Grange Hall. “The Baker’s Dozen Band”, a talented group of local musicians that play fiddles, mandolins, guitars, piano and an accordion will be on stage from 7-10pm. They gather together each year for a lively night of acoustic dance music.

The musicians will be joined by Ron Bell-Roemer, a popular dance caller and instructor from Bend. Everyone is welcome and no prior experience, special clothing, or partner are needed to join the fun. A beginner’s workshop will be taught starting at 7pm. For first timers who arrive by 7pm, the admission is only $5, and they also
receive a ticket for free admission to their second dance.

The Second-Saturday Barn Dance series is sponsored by the non-profit SouthCoast Folk Society. The program includes contras, circle mixers, a waltz or two, and squares. Refreshments are available. Doors open at 6:45pm. Admission: General $7, Students w/ID and Seniors over 60 $6, Members and First Timers (by 7pm) $5, Supervised children under 6 are free.
