Welcome Home Day Picnic For All Veterans

Veterans of all eras, including currently serving service members and their families, are invited to attend the Welcome Home Picnic hosted by the VA Roseburg Healthcare System’s Suicide Prevention Team & OEF/OIF/OND Team. This event will include a barbecue, a fun walk, a Mutt Strut for well-mannered canine participants beginning at 10am and Saving Grace Adoption Center will be on site with adoptable animals.

In addition, information will be provided about companion and psychiatric service animals for PTSD, depression and anxiety. Dog handlers and trainers will also be attending to answer questions. Information booths about VA and veteran benefits, the Mobile Vet Center, Douglas County Veteran Service Office, and the Veteran Benefit Administration will all be available to assist veterans and their families. Enjoy live music, activities for kids, and raffle drawings throughout the day’s event. Come to Stewart Park pavilion, 2141 NW Stewart Park Drive, starting at 10am, Saturday, September 7th.
