CFPA Crews Fighting Bone Mountain Fires

Crews from the Coos Forest Protective Association are battling multiple fires in the Bone Mountain area off Highway 42 past Bridge this morning, January 6th.

Approximately 70 firefighting personnel were dispatched on Sunday, January 5th on what the CFPA confirms this morning as seven different fires. During Sunday’s fight against the fires , CFPA spokesman John Flanagan told K-Dock radio that over 90 acres are being affected. Five dozers are being used to battle the fires as they continue to burn. Flanagan reports that no structures are threatened and the firefighters will continue working throughout today.
