Pedestrian Injured In Vehicle Crash on Hwy 42

Oregon State Police are investigating a serious injury pedestrian-involved traffic crash that occurred on February 16th Highway 42 in Douglas County.

According to reports, 27-year-old Sean Moylan, was walking with his dog going eastbound on the westbound shoulder of Highway 42 near Winston in Douglas County. Moylan had reportedly let go of the dog leash and moved into the westbound lanes in front of a truck. The driver, 42-year-old Matthew Meyer, from Missouri, slowed and tried to avoid Moylan, but stuck him in the left westbound lane.

Moylan was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend with serious injuries. He is reported to have a past California address. The dog was not struck and was taken by police to a local animal shelter. Meyer was not injured and is cooperating with investigating troopers.
