The National Weather Service reports that windy and wet weather will be starting late on Monday, March 24th, and lasting into the weekend. The first front will arrive at the coast on Monday night, then move inland on Tuesday. Moderate precipitation is expected to impact the coastal mountain area and over higher terrain Monday night through Tuesday.

Cold air will move Tuesday creating enough instability for a chance of thunderstorms along the coast into parts of Coos and Douglas counties. Small hail is possible. Snow levels will be high to start, then lowering to around 500 feet by Tuesday afternoon and could temporarily lower to 4500 feet in heavier showers. Gusty winds are also possible along the coast and higher terrain. The next storm system arrives by Wednesday.
