Community Foundation Town Hall Meetings

K-DOCK 92.9

The second of 5 town hall meetings to get public input on a community foundation that would be formed if the Jordan Cove Liquefied Natural Gas Export Facility is completed will be held tonight in Coos Bay. Coos County Commissioners are holding the meetings in rapid succession. The formation of the foundation would manage community service fees paid by Jordan Cove for long-term property tax exemption. Tonight’s meeting will be at 6 at the Red Lion in Coos Bay. Tomorrow’s meeting is at 2 at Lakeside City Hall. Two meetings on Sunday will be held at 1:30 at the Myrtle Point Library and 4:30 at the Coquille Owen Building. Commissioners will discuss the foundation at their next meeting on Tuesday.
