Just in time to produce a suitable vessel for the Lakeside Cardboard Canoe Race, a workshop will cover construction and includes the materials, tools, and supplies to build your own boat. 10 teams of 5 people each, adults and kids ages 5—14, will be formed by registering in advance with Reedsport Community Charter School’s shop instructor Guy Marchione.

There is a $25 fee per team. A portion of the fee will be used to pay the entry fee into the Lakeside race for one of the teams. The winning team will be determined by lottery. The race is August 9th. Work days will be held on July 18th and 19th from 9am – 2pm at the RCCS’s shop class room. Be sure and bring a sack lunch. For more info or to register call 541 396-6957. or email Gmarchione@wildblue.net
