Gun Permit Applications Suspended June 6th

K-DOCK 92.9

Due to an upgrade of computer equipment, the Coos County Information Technology Department will be taking down the existing Concealed Handgun Licensing equipment on Friday, June 6th.

The Coos County Sheriff’s Office at the courthouse in Coquille will be unable to process any gun permit applications, whether new or renewal on that day, so plan accordingly. It may take only a few hours, or it may take all day to update the hardware and to get the software working in proper order, they cannot predict how long the upgrade will take.

Normal days/times for Renewal Applications are Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 4:45, excluding lunch when the office is closed between 11:30-12:30.  One piece of photo identification and the expired/expiring concealed handgun license is required along with the $50.00 renewal fee payable by cash, check or money order.  A new photo will be taken at the time that you apply for your renewal.
