11:00 AM

The Coos Art Museum will welcome Coni Stroud, the co-owner of Art Connection in Coos Bay, presenting a discussion on the skillful selection of framing materials designed to extend the life of artworks. One question both artists and art collectors face is how artworks are to be framed. Learn how the use of various glass types, mat board and the right framing methodology impacts the conservation and aesthetics of the framed object.

Ms. Stroud’s qualifications include designation as a CPF (Certified Picture Framer) with over 30 years of experience in the framing business. The museum will open their doors early for this special free event at the Coos Art Museum on Saturday, July 19th at 11am, coinciding with the “Preservation and Presentation” Exhibition featuring artworks from the Museum’s Permanent Collection. For information call 541-267-3901 or email the Art Education Dept. at sldonaldson@coosart.org.
