2012 Backpacks For Kids



Soroptomists of the Bay Area, Dept. of Human Services and K-DOCK is proud to partner up for Operation Backpacks For Kids!

According to the Dept. of Human Services, the need for foster care for children removed from drug-endangered homes is still a constant problem. Often these children face a double trauma: not only do they suddenly lose their parents, they also, too often, lose everything with which they are familiar. Their clothing, toys, school supplies and even their toothbrush.

Together we can help these kids!!

With the cooperation of the Dept. of Human Services, Bay Area Soroptomists, K-DOCK Radio and our community partners – Operation Backpacks for Kids is being launched again this year.

Drop off brand NEW backpacks, jeans, t-shirts, tennis shoes, hygiene items: soaps, shampoo, toothbrush and tooth paste, infant supplies, underwear, quilts/blankets, books or journals for all ages from infant to teen. Come by the North Bend Bimart store and drop off your donations from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday October 1.
