Fire Crews Are Putting Out Blaze At Old Englewood School

The Coos Bay Fire Department reports that the Old Englewood School, 1400 Pennsylvania Street, caught on fire this morning. Crews are on scene extinguishing the blaze. Woman Dies Following Accident In North Bend

North Bend Police are continuing their investigation into the auto pedestrian accident that killed a Salem woman. 50-year-old Gretchen Schumaker was crossing the street Friday afternoon with 54-year-old Melissa Heslock when they were struck by a pickup truck.
