Free Mini-Movie Marathon At North Bend Library

Celebrate your freedom to read during Banned Books Week. The North Bend Library invites you to kick off your “freadom” week on Sunday, September 30th with a free mini-marathon of family-friendly and teen-friendly movies based on books that have been on the Top 10 Most Challenged Titles list.

Want to know the titles? Call the library at 756-0400, or visit them at 1800 Sherman Avenue in North Bend. See if you can guess these titles:

1:30pm: A boy with a lightning scar on his forehead finds out when he is 11 years old that he is famous in the wizarding world. Let the magic begin!

4:30pm: Gregory Peck stars as a lawyer in the South in the 1930’s whose young tomboy of a daughter is learning what justice, fairness and kindness mean.

7pm: A brave young woman fights for her life, and discovers what might be love, in a hard and hungry future world.

This mini-movie marathon is free and open to the public. For more information, call the North Bend Library at 756-0400, or go online to www.northbendlibrary.org.
