Two Adults And One Child Assisted After Fire In Coos Bay

Disaster personnel assisted two adults and one child after a fire occurred in Coos Bay. An unconfirmed report states the blaze was in the 63000 block of Flanagan Road. The Red Cross provided assistance to meet immediate basic needs. More details as they become available.

Public Comments Solicited On DEQ Director

Wind And High Surf Advisories Issued

A Wind Advisory now in effect until 5pm this afternoon. The National Weather Service reports southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph are possible. Update #2: 881 Customers Without Power In Coos Bay, Myrtle Point, Coquille

As of 10:35am, approximately 881 customers are without electricity in Coos Bay, Coquille and Myrtle Point. The estimated time of restoration: as soon as possible. Repairs are underway right now.
