Nature Conservancy Needs Volunteers
The Nature Conservancy of Oregon invites anyone interested in maintaining the Nesika Beach Preserve to attend a volunteer work party on Saturday, July 26th. A special place on the southern Oregon coast, Nesika Beach Preserve, near Gold Beach, protects Sitka Spruce and Grand Fir Forest and coastal headland habitats. Volunteers will be removing invasive English ivy and ice plant at this event. Bring hiking or rubber boots, a daypack, lunch and snacks, plenty of water for the day, layered clothing including rain gear, a hat, and sunscreen. Bring gloves and pruning shears if you have them – if not, you can borrow theirs.
