A High Wind Watch is in effect from this afternoon through this evening.


The High Wind Warning has been downgraded to a High Wind Watch.  South winds at about 30 to 40mph could gust as high as 60 mph. Winds will increase early this afternoon and continue into tonight. Locations include: Gold Beach…Cape Sebastian…Port Orford…Humbug Mountain…Cape Blanco…..also affecting Coos Bay, North Bend and surrounding areas.


This wind could cause possible downed trees and power lines. High wind gusts could produce difficult travel for high profile vehicles on Highway 101.


A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for hazardous high winds. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph…some gusts of 58 mph or stronger may occur.
