Auditions For Wizard Of Oz At Sprague Theatre

Auditions for The Wizard Of Oz start soon. The Bandon Playhouse, in conjunction with the 75th Anniversary of the original stage version, is holding auditions for this classic. At least 8 main characters are needed, including three women and five men, however they need a cast of all ages ranging from 5 to 75. Many of these parts may include some singing as backup. This is good exposure and a great experience for new actors who want to be in the theater.

Interested persons need to come prepared to sing either with or without music. There will be a music track for the main songs, but if they have a favorite song they need to bring their own music. Children and extras should also be prepared to sing “Ding Dong! The witch is dead”, “If I only had a brain” and others.

Auditions for The Wizard Of Oz will be held on Saturday, April 29th and Sunday, April 30th, with children auditions from 1 to 3 and adults from 3 to 6 that same day. Call backs will be scheduled for Monday, May 1st at 5pm. All auditions will be held at the Sprague Community Theater. Performances will be August 10th-13th, 17th-20th, and 24th-27th, 2017. Show Times are 7pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with Sunday matinees starting at 2. For more information visit at www.wizardinbandon.net or call 329-0644.
