Bandon Public Works Director Convicted of Official Misconduct

The Bandon Police Department opened an investigation into the Bandon Public Works Director, Richard Anderson on March 12th, 2019 after information on an alleged theft involving use of a city credit card was received. Oregon State Police was called in to assist in the investigation. Anderson was referred to the Coos County District Attorney’s Office for First-Degree Official Misconduct and Second-Degree Theft. Yesterday, Anderson was convicted of First-Degree Official Misconduct. He was sentenced to 2 days in the Coos County Jail and a Bench Probation period of 12 months. He was also required to pay a $300 dollar fine.
