BLM Day Use at Bastendorff Opens

The Bureau of Land Management has restored access to Bastendorff Beach Day Use Area. The agency is responsible for the parking, restrooms, and day-use areas between the county road and the beach high tide line. The area is now open effective today. With the lifting of state restrictions, sanitation services may be limited, and restrooms may take time to reopen.

The Blue Ridge Trail System, Floras Lake Day Use, and dispersed camping areas are also open. While areas of the North Spit, including the Trail System are open, the North Spit Boat Ramp remains closed. Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area, Storm Ranch at New River, and all campgrounds remain closed.
