Bus Jam 2012 on December 1

For more than a decade, children in need in Coos County have awaken on Christmas morning to joy because of your new toy donations. Bus Jam in its 11th year is asking for your help once again to load top to bottom, front to back school buses with your food and toy donations.

Each year on the first Saturday in December, K-DOCK 92.9 FM in partnership with First Student Bus Company, Bi-Mart and Rotary broadcast for 5 hours rain or shine to encourage you to make a donation to Bus Jam.

This year, we have added a third venue as a donation location. The good people at Bandon US Cellular will be taking your donations for Bus Jam. People in Coos Bay and North Bend can donate on Bus Jam Saturday at your Coos Bay and North Bend Bi-Mart stores!

You can also make early donations at the following locations:

K-DOCK studios in North Bend
Books By The Bay in North Bend
North Bend Methodist Church in Pony Village Mall
Lakeside Fire Dept. in Lakeside
Tower Ford in Coos Bay
Bi-Mart in Coos Bay and North Bend
Wild Oats in Coquille
Sempert’s Drug in Myrtle Point
Bandon US Cellular in Bandon

Several local businesses are also doing Bus Jam Challenges in their workplace. For instance, Southwestern Oregon Community College is holding a toy drive on campus and then on December 1 they will deliver the toys to one of our Bus Jam Donation Locations. Yellow Cab and their Cabbies for Christmas will be collecting toys and donating a portion of their fare collections for the month of November! The North Bend Methodist Church in Pony Village is encouraging everyone to bring a new unwrapped toy to their location in the Pony Village Mall. there are so many ways you can help.

All your donations, every single penny, every single toy and every can of food stays right here in Coos County. Its neighbor helping neighbor and a community united!

Lets all work together to bring the Spirit of Christmas to children who might not otherwise have a Christmas on Bus Jam Saturday!
