CFPA Fighting Jimmy Creek Fire Off Highway 38

The Coos Forest Protective Association reports there is an active fire off Highway 38 in Scottsburg. Named the Jimmy Creek fire, it is located near milepost 16, reports John Flanagan of the CFPA. There are 29 firefighters on the scene, accompanied by three engines and one bulldozer. Flanagan says they expect supporting aircraft to arrive and assist, and crews from Shutter Creek are joining the fight. The fire is spanning approximately five acres, but no homes are in danger.
